avatar o.c. - friends of republic city

i made this [link] o.c. some time ago.. it's supposed to be inspired by 'the legend of korra', but when i saw it again i think it has more of 'the last airbender' feel.

so when i made new sketch of arkko (from my previous o.c.), but then other characters popped in my head so i decided to draw them all in one frame. that's how the "friends of republic city" comes!

here's the story of the characters:

- arkko (leftmost) is an earthbender with a water tribe heritage; his mother is an earthbender and his father is a waterbender. because his mother died, his father taught him how to use his gift of bending using the knowledge he had. immigrating to the republic city alone from northern water tribe, arkko failed to catch up with the tough competition in the city, and is forced to be homeless. he becomes a jack-of-all-trades that will do any job available to continue living for the day, with quite a tough personality.

- hiromi (top) is an ordinary firebender girl who belongs to the city's pro bending team called "ember island raven eagles" . she aims to be one of the city's most renowned pro-benders, like mako from the future industries' fire ferrets, and wishes that someday she'll meet the fire ferrets in the final and somehow defeat the tricky wolfbats. she has the ability to spread warming vibe with her flaming smile.

- rinzen (middle) comes from the fire nation, but he greatly admired the culture of the air nomads. one day he left his parent's house in republic city and came to tenzin and ask him to become one of the air acolytes. he managed to get tenzin's respect from his ability to understand every aspect of air nomad spirituality, and is eventually taught to fight like an airbender although he is not a bender himself. he sometimes does voluntary jobs to help the city, where he met and befriended arkko. he is overall a calm and relaxed person, but is connected with the others. this makes him a 'cool' person, which makes hiromi secretly fell for him.

- uta maybe isn't as rich as asami sato, but she can get everything she wants from her father that worked for the triple threat triad. she is quiet and gloomy, but is also proud and snarky. although being a spoiled daughter, she turned out to be a skillful waterbender and healer. she is hiromi's best friend (which she doesn't even know why--seeing hiromi's being her complete opposite). she enjoys rinzen and arkko's company as well, because she thinks rinzen knows well how to shut up and arkko is someone she can complain about water tribe food.

since most of the group members are benders, they are targets of the equalists' revolution led by amon. although avatar korra is doing her job to protect them as the citizens of the republic city, they promised to be in each other's back and protect each other.

and again, don't try to translate the chinese characters because i'm just gonna tell you. i meant to write "friends of the republic city" but i don't know chinese so i googled up the word for republic, city, and friends and then the smaller letters are how their names, (from second line top 'til the bottom of the last line; arkko, hiromi, rinzen, and uta) are probably written in chinese.
